All things risk management and insurance

(Spoiler Alert: It’s not boring)

Let me guess…

You probably landed here because you were searching for risk management or insurance information and got stuck wading through dry technical jargon, a few white papers and some dusty old PDFs that look like they were written when the first Jurassic Park Movie came out.

Risk Management doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, it’s probably one of the most important (and sometimes hilarious) parts of running an organization. It’s predicting the unpredictable, preparing for chaos, and making sure bad decisions don’t take down an organization.

YOU are the change agent. The influencer. The Riskfluencer.

Whether you’re a seasoned risk professional, or someone who was volunTOLD to handle risk management at work, this is your go to spot for insights that won’t make your eyes glaze over. So stick around, enjoy the blog, grab some free resources, and have some fun! But not too much fun…I’m not insured for that.

About Sandy

Sandy is a risk management professional and a bird watching amateur. She began her career as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster and somehow managed to avoid pulling out all her hair. She has held leadership roles in risk management and claims, and has spent the last twenty years becoming an insurance nerd.

You’ll find her on LinkedIn and TikTok, explaining why Darth Vader is paying too much for insurance on the Death Star and how the family from the movie Poltergeist should have spent more time researching sinkhole insurance.

Sandy also has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside, a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Redlands, and holds her Self Insurance Certificate from the California Department of Industrial Relations, but that stuff isn’t as impressive as amateur bird watching, so we listed it last.
